November 15, 2006: JR and Speto Outside 11 Spring
JR is one of the biggest graffiti artists in Paris, specializing in photo-wheatpastes. He did an awesome project documenting faces in the Banlieue projects-- you can read about it at Wooster Collective. He came in for the 11 Spring project, and on Monday, he was painting outside the building. I walked by with Speto, a great Brazilian artist I'm introducing at tomorrow's LVHRD event-- it was fun watching them introduce themselves and talk about their craft. The guys at 11 Spring invited Speto to hit the inside of the building, and JR and him talked about meeting up next week in Sao Paulo, so it worked out well for everyone.
