Eastern

One of the first things they teach you as a young photographer is to look for symmetry. That's a good lesson-- but a slavish obsession with order and proportion deadens even the most technically artful shots. There's got to be something that interrupts the pattern-- some injection of life and vitality that breaks the grid and surprises the viewer. Without that, an image is never truly great.
