October 15, 2007: Night in Chinatown

This shot was taken from the roof of a commercial building on Canal and Baxter. One of those buildings where there are fifty acupuncturists and travel agencies on every floor, and the stairwell goes right out to the roof. I was up there for about an hour, experimenting with long-exposures for the first time in months. To get this shot, I had to lean the tripod out over the edge of the roof-- and since there was no railing, and I get vertigo, that was a pretty difficult thing to do.
Related: another angle from a rooftop nearby.
