November 1, 2007: Greenwood Cemetery Reflection

Greenwood Cemetery Reflection

Last weekend Karen was out of town, so I decided to take a long walk in Brooklyn to kill some time. I started down by the 9th Avenue stop on the D-- that's right where the train comes out of the tunnel in Sunset Park. Those transitional places are often good spots for finding weird old buildings and graffiti. After an hour or two I found myself on Fort Hamilton Parkway, near the entrance to Greenwood Cemetery. I walked in, and was soon lost-- all the roads seems to curve back on themselves. I persevered, though-- and by keeping the sun on one side, I eventually got down to 5th Avenue. Along the way, I saw this pretty reflection in one of the cemetery ponds.

I'm not sure if I'm smart enough to have come up with the sun trick to get myself out of being lost. Hope I can remember that!

Lovely reflection especially the lily pads in the sky.
