December 21, 2007: At the Apple Store on 14th Street

At the Apple Store on 14th Street

A couple of weeks back, Neil and I went over to the new Apple Store for a press preview. They did a really nice job on the building-- the massive glass staircase looks great, and the old industrial windows let a lot of light into the space. One of their top retail guys was there, and he talked a lot about how they tried to make the ground floor an inviting space for people living in the neighborhood-- a place where you could come in, check your email, and meet up with friends.

Unrelated: this post is a test of the new Bluejake broadcasting system.

this is a test to see what html works in comments.

do images work?

do images with links work?

woot! that constitutes a successful test. if you're having trouble commenting on bluejake, try logging out then back in, using typekey. in a couple of weeks, i'll have some other commenting options available.

and it does appear that img tags are straightforward to enable in MT4-- as simple as adding them to the allowed comment html. that's a pretty big advantage of MT4 over the MT3 and MTE1.5 that i've been using on gothamist and bluejake before.

looks good!
you completely done with the upgrading?
seems as if nothing happened in the front end - as it should be. :)
