March 12, 2008: Cross and Brown

Two other questions Sam and I discussed whilst walking: first, why is there a door, instead of a window, on the second story in the picture above. Second, how do you take quality landscape photography on days with bright, cloudless blue skies. Answers: windows are more expensive than doors, the building probably once had a fire escape or ornate balcony there, real photographers have an army of assistants to hold the reflectors and set up the fill lights, and on days like that it's probably better to stay indoors anyhow.
