April 6, 2008: REVS Over Greenpoint
I was just watching an Ansel Adams documentary on PBS. In it, the narrator makes the point that the thrust of Adams' whole career had a lot to do with being born in San Francisco, close to the Sierra Nevada mountains where he eventually made his name. So I started thinking to myself-- where are my Sierras? Are they down by the Newtown Creek or in Red Hook somewhere, or am I just totally, 100% shit out of luck for being born in Brooklyn?
Your "Sierras" are the buildings of Brooklyn and New York.
