Bluejake

Karen is a huge fan of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden-- in fact, of gardens in general. She has a guidebook with pictures of all the tree species, which is pretty unnecessary since she's basically memorized it. We'll be walking around and she'll say things like, "oh, what a pretty Kanzan tree." She's also an avid birder, so if there's a bird in the tree, she knows its name too. For instance, the Black Crown Night Heron by the pond is named Stanley.
