Coney Island is best shot in the middle of winter, on a cloudy day, from about 25' above the boardwalk, using a medium format camera. This would probably involve a helicopter or a cherry-picker or at the very least, some climbing-gear. Shooting in bright-winter light on a blue-sky day just doesn't work.
