One more shot from last month's trip to the South Bronx. This lot sits right next to a church, and apparently it's been sitting empty for twenty or thirty years.
Killer photo! I love the shadows, and I love how the tree shaped shadows are mirrored (sort of) by the small trees further back in the image. This photo has layers and layers and layers. It's densely packed.
A couple days ago I was riding bus across NYC and I noticed all the tree shadows on house facades. I thought to myself, "Hmm, now there is a cool photo subject -- New York tree shadows in winter." And here not three days later I see this awesome photo. Dude, you pulled off my idea, better than I would have if I'd tried.
i love love love the way the play between what is "real" and what isn't. the shadow vs. then actual trees. it's beautiful.
