This is one of my favorite buildings in Long Island City-- but it's only visible from the end of Meeker Avenue, deep in the heart of industrial Greenpoint. That's also one of the last places where you can sit and admire the Newtown Creek from the shoreline-- most of the other scenic overlooks have been fenced off.
It does not look like it, but is there anything inside/is the building being used?
There are a ton of places where I live that are abandoned and I wish I knew what they used to be before being abandoned.

nice views of the treatment plant in the background. the digester eggs are so nice and shiny - they look like something out of a sci-fi movie.

i love those digester eggs, dahl-- the prob is getting a good shot of the plant. I've tried the nearby streets, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to get an angle that really captures how weird and beautiful they are.

Jake,
I ran across this photo. I represent the owner of this building and would be interested in talking to you about any other photos you may have. We would also like to find out if you can do an update if you have any interest.
